Understanding and monitoring the prevalence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection among premarital clients and discordant rate among premarital couples and applying specific interventions targeted at this group could bring dual benefit as it prevents both heterosexual and vertical transmission of the disease. 8.2% of premarital VCT clients included in the current study were sero positive for HIV. 6.5% of premarital VCT couples were found to be sero discordant, while concordant negative and concordant positive accounted for 92.0% and 1.4% respectively. Both HIV sero positivity and discordance were relatively higher among those who previously separated/divorced and widowed partners. So, don't you think that exerting special efforts to make premarital couples aware of their own and their partners' sero status before engagement is imperative to their future healthy life and the future of the nations?

Bangladesh, south Asian nation is one of the most populous countries in the world.Family Planning and population maintenance is the most concerning issue at present for the govt of Bangladesh.Family planning program planners often view men as gatekeepers who, if involved in reproductive decision-making, will impede women's efforts to regulate fertility. This study examined fertility decisions of the family members and assistance of voluntary organization. It also covered male involvement in family planning and use of male methods are associated with the fertility decline and resulted in long-term benefits for women. Traditional notions about gender roles and family, in addition to economic concerns, shaped fertility decision making. Individual motivation rather than choice of methods was more important for positive family participation in family planning. Providers appeared to selectively apply interpersonal skills and common courtesy; rudeness to clients was not merely a reflection of ignorance, since the paramedics appeared to know the basic principles of counseling. Limited access to medication and often arbitrary ways of determining when to dispense it created suspicion.

The unmet need for family planning service in Ethiopia is believed to be high (34%).Besides this, despite the high knowledge of family planning methods, the contraceptive prevalence rate is low (15%).Therefore, expanding family planning method choices like availing standard days method is important in reducing unmet need for family planning and improving contraceptive prevalence rate.This book, therefore,indicates 79.9% of study subjects had practiced some form of contraception in the past. Further more, 70.1% and 53.8% of SDM acceptors mentioned no health/side effects and fear of side effects of other hormonal contraceptives as a reason for choosing SDM respectively.Nearly sixty four percent of current SDM users relied on periodic abstinence (64.2%) followed by condom use (32.4%) during fertile days. Moreover, nearly three fourth of current SDM users responded that their male partners were involved in the method. Most of the providers (CBRHAs) were interested in continuing to offer SDM as family planning option. This work indicated the need for expansion of provision of SDM in the study areas to increase availability and accessibility of the service.

Over the years women have been regarded as the sole users of family planning services and little is known nearly what deters men from participating in family planning. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with men's involvement in family planning among married men living in rural setting of Baraton Sub-location, Nandi County, Kenya. A cross-sectional study design was used and data was collected from a sample size of 250 married men. The study revealed that although men are regarded as heads of household about half(54.8%) of respondents had not used family planning. Religion, residing in urban area before, spousal communication, family clinic attendance by men and economic status were some of the significant factors that determined men's participation in the study area. This study provides new insight and information on family planning from men's own perspective living in rural areas in which researchers and healthcare professionals may benefit from.

In this scheme, we address the construction of an efficient PDP scheme for distributed cloud storage to support the scalability of service and data migration, in which we consider the existence of multiple cloud service providers to cooperatively store and maintain the clients' data. We present a cooperative PDP (CPDP) scheme based on homomorphic verifiable response and hash index hierarchy. We prove the security of our scheme based on multi-prover zero-knowledge proof system, which can satisfy completeness, knowledge soundness, and zero-knowledge properties. In addition, we articulate performance optimization mechanisms for our scheme, and in particular present an efficient method for selecting optimal parameter values to minimize the computation costs of clients and storage service providers. Our experiments show that our solution introduces lower computation and communication overheads in comparison with non-cooperative approaches. Using MR-PDP to store treplicas is computationally much more efficient than using a single-replica PDP scheme to store t separate, unrelated files (e.g., by encrypting each file separately prior to storing it).
