In addition, she considers the sampling problems often encountered in ecological censusing. The work concludes with a discussion of the empirical value of diversity measures. A special feature that makes the book particularly accessible to readers without great expertise in mathematics is the inclusion of worked examples of the main diversity measures and models.

The aim of this study is to gather the state of research on theoretical approaches, organizational best practice and practical implementation. To rate the current implementation in Germany, companies, especially all 30 DAX-listed companies, were evaluated and Diversity Charter signatures and the appointment of a diversity manager were used as central evaluation criteria. Furthermore, a deductive content analysis examined components of implemented diversity practices. The Diversity Charter was signed by 28 companies and 29 have a person in charge as a diversity manager. This is a slight increase over the previous year, but the number of new signatories in total shows a step backwards. The content analysis shows that almost all DAX 30 companies have established a strategic integration and a focus on themes of gender and cultural diversity were identified. The results are discussed, taking into account theoretical findings, and implications for the business environment are added.

The true diversity solution only resides in the transcendence of this continuum which is the transcendence of time, the psychological reversal of time. It is not a simple reconciliation in dilemma theory terms, because the synergy formula of the two poles will probably remain in the domain of duality, whereas the true transcendence of the dualistic plane can only be achieved by the non-dualistic dimension or plane of oneness itself. However, the clearance of the dualistic unity-diversity plane, its integration can be a stepping stone towards the higher non-dualistic plane of oneness, where the true, irreversible, unconditioned essential One resides that is no longer subject to the dance of alliances of the dualistic plane.

Diversification of products and services from diverse on-farm trees allowed the traditional agroforestry systems of southern Ethiopia to be considered as sustainable farming systems over a timescale of centuries. But their sustainability has been threatened in recent years, owing to the increasing pressure from a rapidly growing population. Investigation of the diverse tree species on agroforestry for various products and services is beneficial to explore the relationships of some farm characteristics with tree species diversity. Very little academic literatures exist on the agroforestry systems of on-farm tree species diversity. This book, therefore provides a new findings on the characterization of tree species diversity, how the diversity of trees and shrub species are linked to farm characteristics and composition of tree species under agroforestry land use system. It also provides new ideas on the importance value index and use-diversity of different tree species. A complete inventory of on-farm tree species and farm characteristics is analyzed. The analysis should give some knowledge and should be primarily useful to professionals in fields of agroforsetry and agriculture.

Given the predicted shortages of minority dental healthcare providers in the United States and the expanding diversity of the general population, it is important to recruit and retain an ethnically and culturally diverse allied dental workforce. The objectives of this study were to explore why the profession of dental hygiene exhibits minimal diversity among students and instructors within academia. This study reaffirmed the low percentage of underrepresented minority (URM) students and faculty in dental hygiene programs. However, there was a correlation between minority dental hygiene administrators and the number of minority dental hygiene students enrolled and minority faculty employed. In conclusion, pipeline programs are needed to recruit and retain minority dental hygiene students and faculty. However, future targeted interventions are needed to address the success rate of diversity initiatives and pipeline programs with regard to URM recruitment and retention of dental hygiene students and faculty.
