The effort summarized preparation of metal chelates containing 4-carboxaldehyde-2-pyrazolin-5-one Schiff bases as ligand. Structural and spectroscopic properties of Schiff bases as well as metal chelates were studied on the basis of NMR (13C) spectra, IR spectrum and elemental analyses. All metal chelates further investigated by means of thermogravimetry, electronic spectra and magnetic measurements. TGA along with magnetic study support the geometry of metal chelates. Antimicrobial screening of Schiff bases and its metal chelates suggest that all the synthesized ligands and their metal chelates affect the growth of microorganisms and resulted into inhibitory effect. The antimicrobial activity of the metal chelates was found higher than that of the corresponding Schiff bases.

Introduction: Transition metal oxides represent a large class of compounds with a uniquely wide range of electronic properties. Some of these properties, like the magnetism of loadstone, have been known since antiquity. Others, like high-temperature superconductivity have been discovered only recently and indeed would have been thought of being impossible 20 years ago. Transition metal oxides may be good insulators, semiconductors, metals or superconductors. This work deals with (UV-visible and fluorescence) Spectrophotometric methods for the determination of ranitidine hydrochloride (RAN-HCl): UV-visible Spectrophotometric methods include Reaction of (RAN-HCl) with metal ions Cu(II) and Ni(II) in acetonitrile solvent to formed colored complexes, these complexes reacted with 2,2َ bi pyridine (bipy) to formed another stable colored complexes. The wavelength of maximum absorption for the colored complexes formed was found to be (412, 427,439 and 604) nm for [RAN-Cu(II)], [RAN-Ni(II)], RAN-Cu(II)-bipy] and [RAN-Ni(II)-bipy] complexes respectively. The Spectrofluorimetric method depending on quenching of response florescent intensity for (bipy) in aqueous solution.

The purpose of this study was to examine the transition experience that students make by moving from a Montessori environment to a traditional educational setting. This study examined this transition through the perspective of the teacher. The backgrounds of the teachers interviewed included: 8th grade Montessori teachers, 9th grade teachers from each core subject area, a district Montessori coordinator, and a Montessori teacher trainer. The author used a qualitative approach in order to examine the underlying details of this experience. The conversations with the teachers revealed that this is a relatively smooth transition for Montessori students to make. Although the transition experience was successful, there were a few obstacles discovered that should be addressed. This study offers some recommendations to assist in eliminating these barriers. One limitation of this study is that it describes the transition experience from one small rural school district. However, it is believed that the results can be generalized to describe this transition in similar settings. With a limited number of Montessori high schools, this topic is deserving of further exploration.

Saw Myat Sandy's study deals with theoretical and empirical analysis of the political transitions in former Yugoslavia and Burma, the present day Myanmar. It covers the transition period of both states from the late 1980s until present. The author examines the democratic transition in both states, where the process has been 'unsuccessfully accomplished', i.e. after a very promising beginning sooner or later undermined by the challenges of the transition, which threatened to reverse, what was gained by democratisation. In this dissertation, Saw Myat Sandy argues that the democratic transition in both states became an extended process of transition' because of its multi-ethnic societies. The democratisation in former Yugoslavia led to disintegration, and in Myanmar it is proving to be an intractable one and has become almost un-resolvable to anyone's satisfaction. Myanmar today suffers from on-going political instabilities that cause political and social fragmentations but does not demonstrate that it will fall into conventional Balkan scenarios. Intensive research on semiconductor nanomaterials has increased remarkably during the past years due to their unique characteristics. Doping with proper metal elements via introducing acceptor or donor in host material is an effective approach to tune the materials with requisite properties. Among different magnetic semiconductor materials, 3d transition metal doped ZnO has received maximum attention due to the observation of room temperature ferromagnetism with suitable magnetic dopant ions. Therefore, selection of proper doping element in ZnO has become an important route for enhancing and controlling electrical, optical and magnetic performances of nanomaterials. The objective of the present investigation is to synthesis, structural, spectroscopic and magnetic properties of transition metal ions doped ZnO nanopowders by solid state reaction with sonochemical assistance.
