Industrial relations at any organization involve interactions between management and employees, employees and customers, management and shareholders, shareholders and employees and management and customers. These relationships call for the need for rules and regulations that govern these interactions since many misunderstandings have been experienced due to unclear or no rules at all. Many organizations have however introduced employment codes of conduct, which provide rules and expected behaviour by employees at the workplace. This method takes advantage of the hierarchical structure of an organization to find the optimal solution in terms of achieving the desired scopes of the project while minimizing the resources (time and cost). Although the problem formulation is explained for a hierarchical organization, the method is general enough to be applied to any team collaboration problem including the flat structure organizations. In fact, this methodology improves the monitoring and controlling phase of the project management.

Furthermore, this study was carried out to enlighten government, non government organization and professionals on the difficulty of housing development and sustainability in the study area. On this premise, this work evaluated the conditions of housing components, infrastructural facilities, its maintenance, type of building and the satisfaction of the rural dwellers with their environment. The results show that most of the houses were not habitable and maintenance of the houses was poor. This is largely due to the riverine nature, ecological barriers, low quality of materials used, lack of infrastructural and social amenities, sanitary facilities and lack of financial resources. Therefore, strategy for improving the standard of housing and its environs was recommended; that government should support the construction sector or organization with the view of introducing appropriate flood resistant products within the income generating schemes of the rural dweller

Many students have acquired the habit of spontaneously applying algorithms and formulas to solve mathematics problems without analyzing the problems. On the other hand, there are also students who analyze the problem situation and think ahead before they em­bark on a course of actions. The act of thinking ahead, or anticipating, is valuable in problem solving. In this book, two types of anticipating acts--foreseeing and predicting--are used to characterize the ways students solve problems. The research that led to the categorization of different ways of thinking associated with the act of foreseeing/ predicting is reported in this book. These ways of thinking allow educators to communicate the way a student approaches a problem, such as whether the student hastily applies a procedure (impulsive anticipation), is fixated on a particular idea (tenacious anticipation), explores different ideas (explorative anticipation), analyzes the prob­lem situation and identifies a goal (analytic anticipation), or spon­taneously applies well-established ways of understanding (interiorized anticipation).
